Photographers, videographers, podcasters and brands rent The Lab Baltimore by the hour. Lighting, grip and multiple backdrop stands are included, so you can set up 2–3 looks at once and spend your time creating, not resetting.

Sessions are booked once we verify your request and receive a $50 non-refundable deposit. Maryland 6% sales tax applies to prints.

A private, camera-ready venue for showers, birthdays, brand pop-ups, workshops, listening parties and intimate dinners.
- $150/hr, 2-hour minimum
- Free setup & breakdown time: 1 hour before and 1 hour after every event
- Built-in Bluetooth sound system
- Tables & chairs included, mixed to fit your layout: six 32" cocktail tables, six 48" round tables, six 6' tables, two 8' tables and up to 50 folding chairs
- Optional add-on, $350: full-room pipe & drape plus color uplighting (colored lights set on the floor that wash the drapes in color). Choose white, black, red, royal blue, gold or orange drape
- Add a photographer to capture the night

About The Lab Baltimore
Built by a photographer who's worked behind the world's biggest stages.
The Lab Baltimore was founded by Dwayne Baker Jr., a Baltimore native, photographer and touring production manager. For more than a decade, Dwayne has run production, front of house and monitors for artists like Ms. Lauryn Hill, Teyana Taylor, Walé, Tobe Nwigwe, LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes, on stages across the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa.
He built The Lab Baltimore to bring that same standard home. As the studio's lead photographer, he designed every detail around how real shoots and events run: backdrop stands that hold 2–3 looks at once, strobes and diffusion ready to go, ceiling power for rigging, a private glam room, and a bay door for easy load-in.
Whether you're a photographer renting by the hour, booking a portrait session, or celebrating with your 25 favorite people, you're in a space run with tour-level care.
